SolidTrustPay has issued another security manual on the official blog SolidTrustNews. This time the issue is about choosing the secure password when using the payment system in order to keep the personal information and financial data safe and secure.
At the beginning of the manual there is a short notice saying why simple passwords are easy to be hacked and what combinations of letters and digits should be omitted when choosing the best password for your account.
Here is the list of things which should not be included in the recommended combinations:
Your name in any form (first, middle, last, maiden, spelled backwards, nicknames, initials)
Your address, phone number, birthday, or anniversary
Parts of your username
Your friend, relative, or pets name
Anything strictly numerical
Places or things
A single word with a digit, punctuation mark, and/or number
Any single dictionary word (even if used with lowercase and uppercase letters)
The best way to choose the secure passwords is to choose a paraphrase, which would include a mix of words and numbers. To make it more complex, make the phrase not true. For instance: "MyCatL!kes2GoDancingAtCityHall" or "MyMotherSunTansInTheSnow4Fun:". This method is especially useful when you are using any resource, which requires your password to be short. Take the first letters of each word and make a password combination out of them.
The most important reminder is the importance to use different password every time you are using a new resource. This also helps to kee your account and personal data safe. More information about the password security can be found in the SolidTrustNews blog update.
